I took my paintings for a walk

I took my paintings for a walk, figured they'd like the fresh air. .. Jk. There was a purpose to strapping a couple of canvasses to a dolly and walking them around Roncesvalles. I picked them up after they had been photographed so that I could make prints from them.

This really needed to be done by someone who had a proper lighting and camera set up. My paintings are varnished so the light reflects off of them. This is beautiful in person, not to mention functional as it makes the artwork easy to clean and helps the colours to pop.

But the varnish means that one needs special lighting to photograph them so that the shine isn't visible in the photos.

I had taken them to a local gallery called Northern Contemporary. A nice space at the north end of Roncesvalles Avenue in Toronto. One of the curators there did the documentation for me.

Though it had been for business purposes, the walk there and back was a peaceful one. The spring weather is emerging and all the tulips are blooming.

A perfect day to take my paintings for a walk.

Bye for now
